Katie’s passion for helping injured athletes started at a young age when sports were taken out of her life due to a serious ankle injury. At that moment she realized that she wanted to work with athletes, and athletes at heart, return to their sport/activity/life free of pain and dysfunction.

Katie’s educational journey started at University of Guelph where she graduated in 2012 with a BSc(Hon) in Human Kinetics From there she continued on to Sheridan College where she graduated in 2016 with a BAHSc in Athletic Therapy. That is when Katie’s career as a Certified Athletic Therapist began, spending the next 4 years working in the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association, three of those years as the Head Athletic Therapist at St. Lawrence College. In 2017 Katie graduated from The Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy with a Dip MT, and began incorporating massage therapy techniques into her treatment strategies, as well as working in massage therapy clinics on the side.

Katie uses a variety of techniques including: sweedish massage, cupping, exercise perscription, deep tissue work, fascial release, joint mobilizations, and stretching to make individualised treatment plans that best suit each client.
