Jennifer Pellin, RMT

Jennifer Pellin is a Registered Massage Therapist working in the city of Guelph. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in July 2009 and was licensed with the College of Massage Therapists in November 2009. She is also certified in Functional Movement Screening (Level I).

Community involvement is very important to her as she was born and raised in the city of Guelph. She has volunteered in many wellness, charity, community, and sporting events; such as, the Breast Cancer walk, Heart and Stroke, Muscular Dystrophy walk, and the Guelph Hospice, just to name a few. As a health care professional she greatly values patient education outside of the office and provides seminars in retirement homes around Southern Ontario.

Although she has a great deal of experience in geriatric care, she treats people of all ages. Her clinical focus is postural-based pain management and has worked with a great deal of pathologies, conditons, and disorders; including but not limited to, sports injuries, repitive strain injuries, pre and post surgery rehabilitative care, postural-based dysfunction, neuromusclar disorders, and arthritis.

In addition to using General Swedish Techniques she utilizes other modalities during treatment such, as myofascial trigger point release, neuro-muscular facilitative stretching, basic lymph drainage, remedial exercise, tapotment, scar tissue removal (frictions), deep diaphragmtic breathing, hydrotherapy, and active techniques.
