Absolute Health Science opened its doors here in the amazing city of Guelph on January 6th, 2014. Frances Turk, the owner of Absolute Health Science, had a vision for this new clinic as she has been interested in working in the Guelph Community for a long time. The vision for this clinic was to be able to offer an integrative approach to health care in a location that was accommodating and easy to get to for her patients, but also to be able to offer more services to integrate body, mind and spirit.
Not only is there a Naturopathic Doctor on staff at Absolute Health Science, but we also are proud to have Registered Massage Therapists, a Registered Acupuncturist, and an Osteopath on board.
Frances also owns Rockwood Naturopathic Clinic, which is a lovely clinic her Father; Ben Turk, built for her nestled in the beautiful scenic country of Rockwood.
“Why another clinic?” is a common question from many of Frances’ colleagues. The vision and process of opening another clinic came mostly from her patients – there seemed to be a need for more assistance with patients and families around Oncology and overall Cancer Care and support. This is a growing part of Frances’ practice and to be able to accommodate patients better, she needed a better location that did not involve stairs, and a longer drive to get to her. Since opening Absolute Health Science, Frances has worked closely with other Naturopathic Practitioners and some Medical doctors in the Guelph area ensuring that optimal patient care was the ultimate goal with seamless transitions back and forth depending on the treatment needed.
Absolute Health Science allowed for the addition of a full Intravenous Therapy lounge – a place where patients could relax, watch a movie, or take a nap while having their IV treatments. More information on IV Therapy here.
Absolute Health Science continues to utilize numerous modalities, including Intravenous therapy, Acupuncture, Bowen therapy, Nutritional counseling, Registered Massage Therapy, and Osteopathy to name a few. Further information on these services can be found here.
At Absolute Health Science, you will be surrounded by warm and caring health care professionals. When you arrive for your appointment, we want you to feel comfortable so we offer a variety of teas to help you stop and smell the flowers (seasonal of course!). Your doctor/therapist will receive you personally when she is finished with prior patients and it is time for your appointment.
